Shower-Lourdes: Over the mid-1990s, the monthly
messages Adnarim Lorac
received from Jesus in
the shower of her double-wide grew increasingly longer and more detailed; for example, Jesus took credit for a
minor 1993 breakthrough in Palestinian peace efforts, advised holding on to Microsoft stock in 1996, then
admonished the Smidleys, residents of trailer 16-Z across from the Loracs, to clean up their disheveled porch
entry. In 1994, Mrs. Lorac's menstrual cycle became synchronized with her sudsy apparition. Vladimir Lorac's
Shower-Lourdes Report went on the Web in 1995, becoming Shower-Lourdes Online, soon a part of
shower-lourdes.org. Crowds at The Palms Trailer Park continued to grow. Mr. Lorac's Shower-Lourdes Society
also
coordinated efforts to gain ecclesial approval of the shower-stall apparition, initially from the Diocese
of
Palm Beach. In 1997 the local bishop, after cautioning Mr. Lorac and the trailer-park manager about
charging
admission to the shrine, handed the investigation over to the Archdiocese of Miami.
